Kim Kardashian criticizes Trump's anti-immigrant policy

Kim has previously criticized ICE raids in Los Angeles in June and suggested that "there must be a better way" to deal with illegal immigration.

Kim Kardashian expressed her outrage at US President Donald Trump's strict immigration policy and the increased raids by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency in Los Angeles in recent months. The reality TV star, who previously met with Trump to discuss criminal justice reform, expressed her disappointment with the actions targeting immigrants.

During the DVF Awards ceremony in Venice on August 28, where she was honored for her activism in the field of prison reform, Kim told Variety: "In the news, you often hear, 'Oh, it's about people who have committed crimes and are trying to help our country.

"But then you see all those people who have worked hard to build our country, so many people who are part of our country who are affected. People I know. People my friends know," Kardashian said.

"You want to believe that there is a strong message of protection, but then you see that this is not actually the case. It's very difficult, but I think we have to do everything we can to protect the people who have really supported and built our country," added the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.

Kim has previously criticized ICE raids in Los Angeles in June and suggested that "there must be a better way" to deal with illegal immigration after the raids sparked widespread protests. She posted on Instagram:

"When we are told that ICE exists to protect our country and remove violent criminals — fine. But when we see innocent, hardworking people being torn from their families in an inhumane way, we must speak up. We must do what is right. I grew up in Los Angeles and have seen how deeply immigrants are woven into the fabric of this city. They are our neighbors, friends, classmates, colleagues, and family. Regardless of your political views, it is clear that our communities thrive because of the contributions of immigrants. We cannot turn a blind eye when fear and injustice prevent people from living freely and safely. There has to be a better way," Kardashian said.

Meanwhile, Kim revealed in Venice that she is considering returning to the White House to advocate for the freedom of Eric and Lyle Menendez, who were recently denied early release after serving more than 30 years for the 1989 murder of their parents. | BGNES
