Exit polls show Britain's opposition Labor Party winning the UK election, ending 14 years of Conservative rule.

Exit polls show Britain's opposition Labor Party winning the UK election, ending 14 years of Conservative rule.
After polls close at 10:00 p.m. (00:00 Bulgarian time), the survey for British broadcasters shows that centre-left Labor will win 410 seats in the 650-seat House of Commons, while the Tories (conservatives) will manage to win only 131.
The smaller opposition Liberal Democrats will get 61 seats and Nigel Farage's anti-immigrant Reform Party will get 13 seats.
Under Britain's first-past-the-post electoral system, a party needs 326 seats to win an overall majority in parliament.
After a sleepless night of counting and declarations, the winner is expected to meet the head of state, King Charles III, who will ask the leader of the largest party to form a government. | BGNES
