Volvo's global car sales fell 11% year-on-year to 58,881 units in April, the company said.
Owned by Chinese auto giant Geely, Volvo is facing problems related to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs, Anatolian News Agency reported.
Sales of the company's electrified models - full-electric and plug-in hybrid models - are down 16 percent. They accounted for 45% of all vehicles sold in April.
Fully electric cars accounted for 20% of all vehicles sold for the month, while plug-in hybrid models accounted for 25%.
In the first four months of the year, the company's car sales reached 248,525 units, also down 7% year-on-year. | BGNES
