Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said peace efforts with the Kurds will gain momentum once PKK fighters start laying down arms, a process due to begin next week.

“The process will gain a little more momentum when the terrorist organisation starts implementing its decision to lay down arms,” he told reporters on his way back from an economic summit in Azerbaijan. His statement was carried by the Anatolian News Agency. | BGNES, AFP
