Kylian Mbappe will follow Real Madrid legends Ferenc Puskas, Clarence Seedorf and Luis Figo in wearing the number 10 shirt after Luka Modric left for Milan, the Madrid giants announced.

So far, the 26-year-old French striker wore the number 9 on his back in his debut season at the Santiago Bernabeu. He arrived in the Spanish capital from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

The 2018 World Cup champion with France scored 44 goals in all competitions last season, but failed to win a major trophy with Real.

In addition to Puskas, Seedorf, Figo and Modric, other players who wore the number 10 shirt at Real are Gheorghe Hagi, Michael Laudrup, Robinho and Mesut Ozil. | BGNES
