Iran has attacked “dozens of targets, military centers, and air bases” in Israel with hundreds of drones and hundreds of ballistic missiles, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has confirmed.

The operation is called “True Promise 3.” Targets in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other cities have been hit. Sirens across the country are warning of incoming missiles. The population has been instructed to remain in bomb shelters.

So far, there are reports of seven people wounded in Israel after a residential building was hit. Iranian forces claim to have shot down two Israeli F-35 aircraft.

Former Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren told CNN that Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were literally shaking under the rocket strikes.
Oren said he received warnings on his cell phone before the strikes to “tell us exactly what to expect and where to go when the expected comes.”
The effectiveness of Israel's Iron Dome system in deflecting some of the Iranian missiles is still unclear.
“If Iran fired 100 missiles at us and five to seven hit their target, that's normal,” Oren said.

Israeli police urged citizens not to approach the sites where the ballistic missiles landed.

"Reinforced and well-trained Israeli police units, including tactical teams, emergency response teams, and volunteers, are deployed throughout the country. These teams will arrive quickly at any location, secure the area, and allow bomb disposal experts to neutralize the threats while conducting rescue operations if necessary," the statement said.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said his country's military forces “will respond powerfully” to Israel's earlier strikes against Iran “and will bring destruction upon the despicable Zionist regime,” the official IRNA news agency reported. | BGNES, AFP
