The President of the Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, has stated that the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will not be enforced on the territory of the Serbian entity.
He disputes the legitimacy of the court's composition, stating that decisions are made by seven judges rather than nine.
“Instead of nine judges, decisions were first taken by five and now by seven judges. Even more tragic is the fact that decisions are being taken on issues that are not even covered by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Such decisions will not be implemented,” Dodik wrote on social media.
He believes that the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is “the only one in the world that has declared itself unconstitutional.”
After two Serbian judges from the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina retired, the authorities of the RS insisting that three foreign judges leave the Constitutional Court, while at the same time preventing the appointment of two new Serbian judges to be elected by the RS Parliament (Skupština). | BGNES
