The eldest son of US President Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., said that he "might one day" run for president, after previously denying that he was considering a bid for the White House.
Asked during a forum in Doha if he would consider joining the presidential race to succeed his father, Trump Jr. first smiled before hinting that it was possible.
"It's an honor to be asked and an honor to see that some people would agree with that. You never know," he said during a panel discussion at an economic forum in Qatar, as some in the audience applauded.
Trump's 47-year-old son is vice president of The Trump Organization, his family's luxury real estate conglomerate, and a staunch supporter of his father's right-wing political agenda, MAGA.
In March, the news portal Mediate reported that Donald Jr. was "seriously considering running for president in 2028," which he denied at the time. | BGNES, AFP
