Erdogan: The war between Iran and Israel could have a detrimental effect on migration in Europe

Erdogan said that the solution to the nuclear dispute with Iran is “through negotiations.”

Military action between Iran and Israel could trigger a wave of migration that would affect Europe and the region, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned.

Israel, claiming that Iran is on the verge of developing nuclear weapons, launched massive strikes, prompting an immediate retaliatory strike.

“The spiral of violence triggered by Israeli attacks could harm the region and Europe in terms of migration and the possibility of nuclear leakage,” Erdogan said during a phone call with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Erdogan said that the solution to the nuclear dispute with Iran was “through negotiations.”

He said the violence had “raised the threat to regional security to the highest level” and that Turkey was “making efforts to end the conflict,” AFP reported.

Despite the escalating confrontation, a source from the Turkish Ministry of Defense said on Thursday that there was “no increase” in the number of people crossing from Iran.

The Turkish authorities have not released any data.
