Macron to Vucic: Bosnia and Herzegovina is a sovereign state

Macron confirmed to Vucic his belief that "Serbia's European future is its true path", as well as his "hope that it will advance on this path of reforms and accession, in a spirit of dialogue".

"We discussed all aspects of relations between Serbia and France and decided to further strengthen our cooperation", Macron wrote on the social network X.

The French president stressed that the two also spoke in detail about the regional situation:
"I emphasized the importance that France attaches to the stability, unity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as respect for the rule of law."

Macron also paid special attention to the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, stating that France condemns any unilateral action that could jeopardize it:
“I recalled the importance of the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo and our condemnation of any unilateral step that would compromise it.”

Regarding the Western Balkans as a whole, the French president concluded with the words:
