German Chancellor Friedrich Merz plans to hold a meeting with the presidents of the United States and Ukraine, as well as European leaders, two days before the US-Russia summit in Alaska.

The leaders of “Finland, France, Britain, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, the presidents of the European Commission and the European Council, the NATO secretary general, as well as the US president and his deputy” have been invited.

“Opportunities to put pressure on Russia” will be discussed. The talks will be held in several separate sessions. | BGNES, AFP
