After protesters broke into the offices of the Serbian Progressive Party (SPS) on Cvijeca Street in Belgrade, President Aleksandar Vučić arrived at the scene with his security detail and a small group of supporters.
The gendarmerie pushed the demonstrators out of the area, using tear gas against the crowd. As the protesters headed towards the Faculty of Law, Vucic entered the SPP premises, accompanied by security guards, gendarmes, and several supporters who chanted "Aco, Serb!" in front of the cameras.
However, what was not heard on television was the reaction of the street's residents. They cursed and booed the president from their windows.
A video recording of the speech in front of the premises showed members of the special unit "Kobri" looking up at the apartments above them, from where boos could be heard. At one point, a voice from the security guards could be heard saying, "Get inside!"
When the president's motorcade left Tsvetcheva Street and turned onto Zdravka Chelara Street, people in the streets booed him again. | BGNES
