Bulgaria's youth with the most successful Wimbledon in the last 25 years

Ivan Ivanov and Alexander Vassilev reached the quarterfinals

For the first time in 25 years, Bulgaria has two quarterfinalists at Wimbledon. 25 years ago, Radoslav Lukaev and Todor Enev played in the semifinals, where they lost to Nicolas Mahut and Mario Ancic, respectively.

Now Ivan Ivanov managed to declare Bulgaria's intentions, and a few hours later, Alexander Vassilev also qualified. He prevailed 7-6(5), 6-4 over American Keaton Hans.

Vassilev had a minimal advantage in terms of aces (2-1), while at the same time landing more winners (24-15). The Bulgarian won 77% of his first serve points (34/44) and made use of four of his nine break points (44%).

In the next phase, Vassilev awaits Timofey Derepasko or Thais Bogard. |BGNES
