Former Arsenal player Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape. He is also charged with one count of sexual assault. The crimes occurred between 2021 and 2022, the Metropolitan Police said

Two of the rapes involve one woman, three others involve a second woman, and the sexual assault charge involves a third woman.

Partey, 32, is due to appear in Westminster Magistrates' Court on August 5.
