The Spanish Ducati rider - Marc Marquez, won the Italian MotoGP Grand Prix. The day before he had already warmed up the crowd with a success in the sprint race at the Mugello track (Tuscany). Although Marquez is never a favorite in Italy - he achieved his 93rd victory.
Thus, in the general classification, Marc Marquez increased his lead, having already 270 points ahead of his brother Alex Marquez (230), and Francesco Banaia is third with 160. Two more Italians follow in the standings - Franco Morbidelli (128) and Fabio Di Gianantonio (120).
The older brother of the Marquez family finished with a time of 41:09.214 minutes, ahead of his younger brother Alex from the Gresini team by 1.942 seconds. Third came the Italian Fabio Di Gianantonio of Pertamina Enduro with a strong final ride, finishing 2.136 seconds behind the winner.
Last year's winner Francesco Banaia (Italy, Ducati) remained outside the podium - fourth, more than 5 seconds behind the champion. He was content with only the fastest lap on the track today.
