United States President Donald Trump was among the official guests at the Club World Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

He was in the VIP box, from where he watched the Blues' success, alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino and First Lady Melania Trump.

Trump's presence was confirmed on Saturday by Infantino himself during a media event at Trump Tower in New York. He praised the president for his support and said that Trump "immediately recognized the importance of both the Club World Cup and the upcoming World Cup next year," highlighting their good working relationship.

The MetLife Stadium, which hosted the final between the two European giants, will also host the final match of the 2026 World Cup, which gave a symbolic character to the clash between Chelsea and PSG - a kind of dress rehearsal for the biggest football spectacle, which will take place next year on American soil. | BGNES
