Nearly 600 former Israeli security service officials, including several former heads of Mossad and Shin Bet, have called on US President Donald Trump to pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza.

"Stop the war in Gaza!" urges a letter from the Commanders for Israel's Security (CIS) movement, signed by 550 former intelligence chiefs, military officers, police officers, and diplomats, and quoted by AFP.

Among the signatories are three former heads of Mossad (the foreign intelligence service), five former heads of Shin Bet (the internal security service), and three former chiefs of the army general staff. | BGNES
