Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Donald Trump to persuade Russia to end its invasion of Ukraine during the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
“It is time for the war to end, and the necessary steps must be taken by Russia. We rely on America,” Zelensky wrote in a social media post.
He announced that the Ukrainian army is sending reinforcements to the eastern part of the country, where Russian forces have advanced toward Dobropillia.
“Today a decision was made to further strengthen this and other areas in Donetsk Oblast,” Zelensky emphasized.
“The Russian army continues to suffer significant losses in its attempts to secure more favorable political positions for the Russian leadership at the meeting in Alaska,” he added. | BGNES
