US President Donald Trump signed an order to reduce tariffs on Japanese cars as Washington seeks to implement its trade agreement with Tokyo.
Japanese cars will face a 15% tariff instead of the current 27.5%. At the same time, the level for many other goods will be capped at 15%, according to the text of the order published by the White House.
The result marks a victory for Japan after Tokyo's tariff envoy traveled to Washington to pressure Trump to sign the document for the changes. | BGNES, AFP
