Andrew Tate was caught speeding at 146 km/h in Romania

Tate later described the allegation that he was speeding as "grossly untrue" and vowed to contest the matter in court.

Controversial infielder Andrew Tate was caught speeding at 196 km/h in a 50 km/h zone in Romania, officials said.
The British-American national was filmed driving at almost four times the speed limit in a village about 184km from the Romanian capital Bucharest.
The 38-year-old man was fined £310 in accordance with local traffic laws and his licence was suspended for 120 days due to the seriousness of the offence, police said.
Tate denied speeding and said he would appeal, the BBC reported.
The self-proclaimed womaniser and his brother Tristan are currently facing charges including rape and human trafficking in Romania, as well as separate charges in the UK and US. They both deny any wrongdoing.
The brothers are allowed to travel within Romania, where they live, and abroad, subject to court-ordered conditions, while their cases are pending.
Andrew Tate was caught speeding on 7 June in the central village of Bujoreni.
Police said excessive speed remains one of the main causes of road deaths in Romania.
Tate later described the claim that he was speeding as "grossly untrue" and vowed to contest the matter in court.
He wrote on social media that he had tried to explain to the officer who stopped him that the radar gun - used by police to measure vehicle speed - "must have been miscalibrated because I would never do that".
Tate said he was looking forward to being proven innocent, and said that despite having his licence revoked, he would "enjoy full and normal driving privileges".
The elder Tate has often boasted about his collection of sports cars, including Bugatti and Lamborghini, often posting pictures of himself with them on social media.
The former kickboxer has amassed millions of followers on the internet, where he often mixes political messages with displays of a flashy lifestyle.
He has repeatedly been caught speeding in Romania.
In April 2021, he will be arrested for the crime of driving a car. Tate was stopped in a town near Bucharest for driving a Porsche at 138 km/h, according to local reports. The year before, he had received a speeding ticket in Germany.
Several of his luxury cars were confiscated by Romanian authorities in 2023 as part of the legal proceedings against him.
Tate has reportedly criticised British police for refusing bribes during traffic stops, calling it "insulting". He has cited such attitudes as one of the reasons he moved his business to Romania in 2017.
A major theme in Tate's online messages is the idea that an "elite club" of successful people lives without the challenges others face.
Tate has stated that he escaped the "Western world" by moving to Romania, "where corruption is available to all."
One fan site quotes him saying, "If corruption exists, and it does, let's all play by its rules."
British prosecutors have announced that Andrew and Tristan Tate will return to the UK to face 21 criminal charges - including rape and human trafficking - once proceedings against them in Romania are concluded.
The brothers also face a separate, civil claim brought by four women who allege they were forced into prostitution.
A lawsuit has also been filed against Andrew Tate in the US by a former girlfriend who accuses him of sexual assault.
The brothers have pleaded not guilty in connection with all the cases against them. | BGNES
