Jamie Lee Curtis has learned a lot about "resilience" from Lindsay Lohan.
The 66-year-old actress reunited with Lindsay for Freakier Friday, the sequel to the 2003 comedy film Freaky Friday, and Jamie took to social media to express her admiration for Lohan.
In her Instagram post, Jamie quoted Lindsay praising her colleague. The quote reads: "Jamie was there for me at a time in my life when I was going through a lot publicly [...] I need to feel safe around people. And Jamie is one of those people for me."
In response, Jamie wrote: "And SHE taught me perseverance, solitude, style, family, and Bitmoji!"
Lindsay and Jamie repeatedly praised each other during the press tour for Freakier Friday.
Jamie admitted that after the first film, she felt "a lot of maternal care" towards Lindsay and that they remained friends even after that.
"When she came to Los Angeles, we would meet up. She and I remained friends, and now we're kind of colleagues. I feel less maternal towards her because she is a mother herself now and doesn't need my maternal care, and besides, she obviously has a mother — Dina is a great grandmother," she told The Guardian.
The Hollywood star also insisted that Lindsay doesn't need her advice on life.
"I'm bossy, very bossy, but I try to mind my own business. She doesn't need my advice. She's a fully functioning, intelligent woman, a creative person. She has asked me questions in private, but nothing more than what one would ask an older friend," she said.
For her part, 39-year-old Lohan admitted that she has experienced many ups and downs, but now feels "wiser" and "more balanced" than ever. She shared that she has become a "positive person" and feels "calm in her life." | BGNES
