Shakira breaks her own record with two new concerts in Mexico

With the new dates, the superstar has broken her own record for the most concerts in Mexico in a single tour – a total of 28.

Shakira has announced that she will perform two new concerts as part of the second leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour in Mexico.

The first will take place on September 18 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City. The second will be her first appearance in the state of Veracruz, where she will perform at Estadio Luis Pirata Fuente on September 24.

With the new dates, the superstar has broken her own record for the most concerts in Mexico in a single tour – a total of 28.

"With the announcement of this new date, the Colombian singer establishes herself as the artist with the most concerts at the iconic Estadio GNP Seguros," said promoter OCESA.

"My beautiful Mexico! 12 concerts at Estadio GNP! Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for continuing to break records with me. See you soon. I love you!" Shakira wrote on Instagram, where she posed with a plaque from OCESA for her new record.

The tour began on February 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and will end in Lima, Peru, on November 16. | BGNES
