Three-time Tour de France champion Tadej Pogačar has once again donned the yellow jersey of leader of the general classification of this year's edition.
This happened after the Slovenian won the 12th stage of the most prestigious cycling tour in the world - 180.6 km, from Auch to Hautacam in the mountains.
Yesterday, Pogačar fell five kilometers before the end of the 11th stage after being hit in the back, but subsequently quickly got on his bike and continued without serious consequences. Today he made a champion's ride, overtaking two-time Tour winner Jonas Vingegaard and Florian Lipowitz, who remained second and third respectively.
In the general classification, Pogačar, who displaced the Irishman Ben Healy from the top, built a comfortable lead over Vingegaard - +3'31. The third position was retained by the representative of Belgium, Remco Evenepoel - +4'45.
Tomorrow the cyclists will face the 13th stage - a 10.9 km mountain time trial, between Loudenvielle and Peyragudes. | BGNES
