Taylor Swift compared Travis Kelce's wooing to a John Hughes movie.

The 35-year-old megastar made her debut on her boyfriend's podcast, Kansas City Chiefs player, alongside his brother Jason Kelce on August 13 and revealed a lot about her encounter with him.

While discussing Travis' failed attempt to get to know her through a friendship bracelet he made for her, Taylor admitted that she was touched by his old-fashioned gestures to try to get her attention.

"This guy didn't get a date, and now he's making it everyone's problem. That's what I thought at first. You see, he didn't even contact our management. He came with Pat [Mahomes] and thought that because he knew the woman in the elevator, he could tell her to let him into my dressing room," the singer shared.

"I felt like I was in a John Hughes movie from the 80s, and he was standing in front of my window with a boombox saying, 'I want to go on a date! Do you want to go on a date? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to go on a date?'" she added.

The hit singer admits that Travis turned out to be the man she wrote about in her songs.

"I thought, 'If this guy isn't crazy, this is something I've been writing songs about since I was a teenager, that I want to happen to me,'" she said with a smile.

The 35-year-old sports star used her lyrics to figure out the best way to impress Taylor.

"I was sitting there on the Eras tour listening to every one of those songs, thinking, 'I know exactly what she wants from me. I'm the luckiest person in the world,'" he said.

"It was crazy, but it worked. I'm glad it worked," Swift admitted.

Travis first spoke about falling in love with Taylor on his New Heights podcast in 2023. The two publicly announced their relationship when she attended one of his games in September 2023, although they had already been secretly dating for some time. | BGNES
