Milorad Dodik is no longer president of the Republika Srpska.
The Court of Appeals of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected Dodik's appeal against the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) to revoke his presidential mandate, Bosnian media reported.
As a result of this decision, Dodik is no longer officially president, and the CEC is obliged to schedule early elections for the head of state of the entity. Meanwhile, RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic has resigned.
Hours before the court's decision, Dodik threatened to schedule a referendum in September to ask citizens whether they agree with his sentence. | BGNES
