Britney Spears sparked a wave of reactions with a new Instagram video in which she performs Prince’s song Kiss. The 43-year-old singer, dressed in a polka-dot crop top, white mini shorts, and tall black boots, sang for her 41.8 million followers, but at times her performance sounded off-key, the Daily Mail reported. In the clip, she adjusted the lighting and joked about herself, admitting that she “sounds much better off-camera.”

Fans also noted the messy state of her home visible in the background, as well as her puppy that appeared in the video. In the caption under the post, Spears compared herself to Julia Roberts singing “a little off-key” and assured her followers that she “knows very well who she is.” In a separate clip, she explained that she had interrupted her cleaning to experiment with the camera and lighting, and once again sang for her fans.

Such vocal appearances are rare on her social media, where she usually showcases dances and provocative looks. Last week, the singer shared a video in a revealing golden dress, in which she covered up “wardrobe malfunctions” with emojis.

Meanwhile, her ex-husband Sam Asghari commented on Kevin Federline’s upcoming autobiography, calling him a “professional father.” Asghari and Spears divorced in 2024, while earlier the singer was married to Federline between 2004 and 2007, with whom she has two sons — 19-year-old Sean Preston and 18-year-old Jayden.

After the divorce, Asghari maintained good will toward the singer, stating that he wishes her the best and is grateful for the time they spent together. | BGNES
