Germany lost 0:2 in their visit to Slovakia from Group "A" of the World Cup qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The Slovaks were accurate by David Hanzko and David Strelets, thus Francesco Calzona's team collected 3 points and is in second place in the group, where Germany is in last, 4th place.

The match at the Tehelné Pole stadium in Bratislava started with a shared advantage, and in the 21st minute, Germany's goalkeeper - Oliver Baumann had to save a shot by Leo Sauer. This is how it came to the 42nd minute, when the German defense acted uncoordinated during a sprint by David Strelets on the left wing, from where he crossed on the ground, and David Hanzko outpaced Antonio Rüdiger and intercepted the ball in the lower right corner for 1:0!

The Germans could have equalized in the 48th minute, but Martin Dubravka saved a shot by Leon Goretzka.

Due to their numerous attacks, Germany was exposed in defense and allowed a counterattack in the 55th minute, when David Strelets received the ball in front of the penalty area. He made a few deceptive moves, with which he “broke” Rüdiger’s back and with an elegant left-footed shot, checked Baumann – 2:0!

Until the end, Julian Nagelsmann’s men were unable to get out of the shock and were not even able to reach an honorary goal and leave Slovakia with their tails tucked.

At the same time, the Netherlands led for almost the entire match, but only managed 1:1 against Poland in a match from Group G. A goal by Denzel Dumfries turned out to be insufficient for the “orange”. The point for the “Druzhina Polska” was brought by Matti Kesh with a cannon shot.

Xavi Simons missed a chance to score early on, and about ten minutes later, an attempt by Tijjani Reinders went to the goal. Subsequently, Lukasz Skorupski intervened twice – once on a shot by Cody Gakpo and once on a header by Denzel Dumfries. The next time Dumfries shot, Skorupski had nothing to do. The guard hung down, and the Inter player headed the ball in for 1:0. The assist went to Memphis Depay.

The “Tulips” had two more chances around the 60th minute. First, a cross by Dumfries was not detected by anyone in the penalty area. 180 seconds later, Simons, who found himself in a shooting position, did not find the Poles’ goal.

In the 72nd minute, a shot by Matty Cash was blocked at the last moment and an equalizing goal was never achieved in this situation. Ten minutes before the end, Matty Cash made no mistake again - the right winger fired a powerful shot into the upper left corner for 1:1.
