Unreleased Beyoncé music stolen from car during Cowboy Carter tour

The theft occurred on July 8, two days before her first show in Atlanta.

Unreleased music by Beyoncé was among several items stolen from a car in Atlanta just days before the singer's four-day stop on her Cowboy Carter tour in the city, authorities confirmed.

Discs containing the unreleased songs, show plans, and past and future set lists for her tour were among the items stolen from a rental car used by the singer's choreographer and one of her dancers, according to a police report.

The theft occurred on July 8, two days before her first show in Atlanta, the BBC reported.

Atlanta police said an arrest warrant had been issued, but the suspect's name had not been made public.

Choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue told police they had parked the rented black Jeep Wagoneer and entered a nearby dining hall. When they returned, the rear window of the car had been broken and two suitcases were missing, according to the police report on the incident.

They told police that they were carrying "sensitive personal information about musician Beyoncé" in the stolen car.

This included "five flash drives containing watermarked music, unreleased music, plans for past and future shows, and a song list," the report said.

Other stolen items included a laptop, designer clothing, and Apple AirPods. Authorities used the information to track the laptop and headphones to determine where the items might have gone.

They also took fingerprints from the car and found "two very light prints."

Beyoncé is currently in Atlanta as part of her Cowboy Carter stadium tour. Her husband, rapper Jay-Z, made a surprise appearance on the third night of her concert in the city.

Choreographer Grant has worked with other famous musicians, including Shakira. Dancer Blue appeared alongside Beyoncé in a commercial during Super Bowl 2024, during which she released two singles from her album Cowboy Carter, released later that year. | BGNES
