Thousands more are expected to tune in online after tickets for the concert featuring the band's original lineup sold out in just 16 minutes.

The 76-year-old Osbourne, who revealed in 2020 that he suffers from Parkinson's disease, will join Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the "Back To The Beginning" concert in Birmingham, central England, where the heavy metal giants formed in 1968.

The concert at Aston Villa Football Club's stadium also includes performances by Metallica, Pantera, Guns N' Roses, Tool and Slayer, as well as a brief solo performance by Osbourne.

Anthrax were among the first acts to take the stage, with early-birds giving the American rockers a standing ovation.

They were later followed by a royal duet, with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Rolling Stone's Ronnie Wood performing Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love."

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to charities including Cure P arkinson's and Birmingham Children's Hospital.| BGNES
