At least one person died when two hot air balloons crashed in the historic town of Cappadocia, eastern Turkey.

The accident happened early this morning. The pilot of one of the balloons died.

The tragedy occurred in the Aksaray area. At this point, it is known that there are several dozen injured. According to local media, 19 people were injured. Videos show the broken basket of the balloon and injured tourists around it. Usually, there are between 15 and 20 people in a basket.

The balloons take off early in the morning between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m., depending on weather conditions. І BGNES
