Los Angeles police said “mass arrests” were being made as people gathered in the streets in the city center.
This comes after a curfew went into effect overnight following days of protests against immigration arrests, AFP reported.
“Numerous groups continue to gather between Spring and Alameda streets” within the designated curfew zone in the city center, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.
“These groups are being dealt with and mass arrests are underway. The curfew is in effect,” it added. | BGNES
